Beyonders

Here is the jacket art I did for Beyonders, a World Without Heroes, a new novel by Brandon Mull, the author of the Fablehaven series, to be released next March by Simon & Schuster.
Even though it has to be a simple image of the evil king it has to transmit a lot of energy that will pull the reader in. I think I finally could achieve it thanks to a precise art direction during the sketching stage of the process. I had a lot of fun doing it.
