
I have always loved the drawings of Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres,
even more than his paintings. It was not only his incredible ability to
capture people's expressions and psychology which fascinates me, but
the modern approach to background sketching and use of frames. They all
look very fresh and traditional at the same time.
That was the main inspiration behind
The Moon Dynasty which in the
process turned into something different. The chrome spherical helmet...
no, I don't have any idea where it came from. Funny that while the main
focus on Ingres compositions was the face I completely hide this one
from you.
